  1. Is Sailor Plastics the manufacturer?
    Yes! We proudly manufacture our bottles in our facility located in Adrian, Minnesota USA.
  2. Do you have any glass products?
    No. We manufacture PET, LDPE, and HDPE plastic bottles, but we do not carry any glass products
  3. What is Sailor Plastic’s minimum order amount?
    Our minimum order amount is one case of bottles or one bag of caps.
  4. Can we purchase smaller quantities than what you offer?
    No. We are only able to sell our bottles by the case.
  5. Do you offer a discount for larger orders? (pallet or truckload orders)

  6. I am Sales Tax Exempt & have a tax exempt number. How do I add it to my account?
    Please visit our Tax Exemption Instruction page. There we have posted a link to the Tax Exempt/Certificate of Resale form. Please follow the instructions on the page.

Product Questions

  1. Are the bottles FDA compliant and food safe?
    Yes! Contact us for the certificate of compliance.
  2. Are the bottles microwave safe?
    Our bottles cannot be heated over 140°F. If your microwave doesn't warm above 140°F, the bottle should withstand. We always recommend testing your product in the container to determine versatility.
  3. Does the price of bottles include caps?
    If a cap option is selected in the “Cap Choice” drop down on the product page, the price displayed will be for bottles and caps. If “No Caps” option is selected, then the price displayed will be for the bottles only.
  4. Do I get matching amounts of caps and bottles?
    Yes, if a cap option is selected all cases will come with the equal or greater number of caps and bottles. If the case pack is not in an increment of 25, the box will contain extra caps.
  5. Can I use my own caps from another supplier?
    We highly recommend purchasing the caps with the bottles to ensure a proper fit and seal. If you wish to use your own you may do so, but please be advised Sailor Plastics is not responsible for caps (cap fit or durability) that we do not supply.
  6. Do I have to wash the bottles first?
    We leave this up to you. Our bottles are manufactured with good manufacturing processes in a clean facility. The bottles are manufactured, cooled, leaked tested, and tumble packed into cases all on the manufacturing line. Our inspector packers then completely seal the box with clear tape. We advise you to check your local guidelines on specific food or product handling & packaging requirements.
  7. I need a product specification sheet. Where do I find it?
    You can conveniently download a spec sheet in PDF format from the product details section located on the product page.

Shipping Questions

  1. Does the price of bottles include the shipping?
    No. Shipping costs can be calculated in the shopping cart or at checkout.
  2. Can I ship my order to multiple locations?
    Yes. You must place a separate order for each location the bottles will be shipped to. To make this easier online, utilize your account to save multiple shipping addresses.
  3. How does Sailor Plastics ship packages?
    We utilize UPS to ship all of our packages, in select locations SPEE-DEE delivery may also be utilized. We frequently ship via LTL freight carriers as well.
  4. How long does it take for my online order to be processed & shipped?
    We process all orders of in stock items received on business days before 10:00 AM CST the SAME DAY they are received. If the item is out of stock, we will contact you with an estimated ship date.
  5. How long will it take to receive my order?
    Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number that contains an estimated delivery date via email. Shipping times can be affected by many different factors. (ex. your location, time of year, etc) Please allow adequate time for shipping.

Payment Questions

  1. What type of payment do you accept?
    We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. All our credit cards are processed securely with Stripe.com.
  2. When will my credit or debit card be charged?
    You will see an authorization charge on your account for the order total when you place the order. Once the order is processed, the funds will be captured from your account.
  3. How do I add a new payment card to be stored?
    While signed in during checkout, a check box will appear after you enter your card details. Check this box if you would like to save your payment card to your account.
  4. How do I change a stored payment method?
    While signed in during checkout, select pay with new credit card. Enter the details and check the box titled “Save for later”.
  5. How do I delete a stored payment method?
    Sign in to your account, select “View stored payment methods” then click “Delete” on the card that you would like to remove.
  6. Why was my credit card declined?
    Your credit card could get declined for a variety of reasons, from the simple (your credit card expired) to the potentially more serious and complex (potential fraud was detected). We advise you to contact your bank to determine the reason.
