Q: What is a UPS Access Point (as seen in shipping options)?

A: A UPS Access Point™ is a UPS-affiliated retail location offering convenient package drop-off or delivery near your home or work. A UPS Access Point is represented by a broad array of locations, including newsagents, grocers and convenience stores. Please note, you SHOULD NOT choose “UPS Lockers” for your order because they will not fit. There should NOT be a charge to pick these up.

 

Q: What is Sailor Plastics lead time for large orders?

A: We ask for a 2-4 week lead time for large orders.

 

Q: Does the price of bottles include caps?

A: Yes, caps are included in the price as an option. Select the cap you like in the drop down menu when ordering.

 

Q: Does the price of bottles include the shipping?

A: No, the shipping is a separate cost.

 

Q: Can we buy smaller quantities than what you offer?

A: The minimum quantity you must order is 1 case.

 

Q: Are the bottles microwave safe?

A: Yes, as long as they don’t get over 140 degrees.

 

Q: Do we have to wash the bottles first?

A: You need to follow your specific food or product handling requirements for what you are using the bottle for. This includes a bottle washing if instructed to do so.

 

Q: Can we use our own caps?

A: We suggest you buy caps through us so they fit correctly. If you wish to use your own you may do so, but there is no guarantee they will fit our threads.

 

Q: Does Sailor Plastics have colored bottles?

A: We have clear PET bottles and opaque (natural) LDPE bottles. Colored bottles are a special order and have quanity minimums. Contact Sailor Plastics customer care for further information.

 

Q: Can we get matching amounts of caps and bottles?

A: We bag our caps in bags of 25. Most cases will come with the same number of caps. Some cases may contain extra caps if the case quantity doesn’t fit in with a count of 25.

 

Q: Are Sailor Plastics bottles FDA compliant?

A: Yes, we have a certificate of compliance.

 

Q: Is Sailor Plastics able to label each case with our PO number and/or part number?

A: Yes, if you would like extra labels for those, let us know your specific requirements.

 

Q: How does Sailor Plastics ship packages out?

A: We ship loose cases with SPEE-DEE Delivery or UPS. We also ship pallets through LTL freight carriers.

 

Q: Is there any way to get free shipping?

A: We do not offer free shipping.  There is a discount if you order 151 pounds from UPS, you do get a discount for Ground Freight Pricing. You will need to call in for large quantity orders.

 

Q: Does Sailor Plastics do same day shipping?

A: We ship all orders same day as long as you call in, or we receive the order by 10am Central Time. We must also have the bottles in stock.

 

Q: Does Sailor Plastics have any glass products?

A: No, we only have plastic products.

 

 

UPS Access Point Information

-Choosing a UPS access point is a great idea if you live in a residential area way outside of normal UPS routes and you need a cheaper rate.

-Saturday delivery option available. It is a higher seperate cost and you must let us know if you would like this done. Some locations may not apply.

 

What packages are eligible for delivery to or drop off at a UPS Access Point location?

For detailed guidelines by country, refer to the local UPS Rate and Service guide or UPS Tariff/Terms and Conditions of Service. Except as otherwise noted in those documents, the following requirements apply.

Single packages must weigh less than 44lbs/20kg.

UPS Access Point lockers have a maximum capacity of 16in/40cm x 22in/55cm x 21in/53cm.

Staffed UPS Access Point locations may accept packages up to 38in/97cm in length; however, packages with a total size of more than 130in/330cm may not be accepted (total size is length plus girth, which is double the width and height: L + 2W + 2H).

Maximum replacement value is US$5000 for packages delivered or shipped to a UPS Access Point location, and US$1000 for packages dropped off for pre-paid shipment.

Contents must not be identified as a restricted article by the applicable UPS Rate and Service Guide or the UPS Tariff/Terms and Conditions of Service. For example, packages containing firearms, ammunition, or hazardous materials requiring shipping papers are not eligible.

Except in limited circumstances, packages requiring an adult's signature are not eligible. A package may also be ineligible as a result of the shipper's instructions (e.g. request that the shipment go only to the addressee's home). (COPIED FROM UPS WEBSITE)

We may redirect your packages to a nearby location if you're not home at the time of delivery.

You can use your UPS My Choice® Membership to redirect packages to your preferred location before or after our first delivery attempt.*

All locations accept pre-paid UPS packages.
